All B.E engineers are on the Gas Safe, OFTEC, CIPHE and WRAS registers. The Gas Safe Register is the new governing body for gas safety, formerly run by CORGI. OFTEC is the governing body for oil-fired installations. CIPHE is the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers and WRAS is the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme, allowing its members to self certify installations.
